Human Trafficking in the Central Valley

Please join us on April 11th in welcoming our guest speaker, Rob Carter who will speak about the human trafficking epidemic in Fresno and surrounding areas.

Labor Trafficking exists in agricultural labor, massage parlors, nail salons, restaurants, and domestic service.

Sex trafficking exists in forms of pimp controlled trafficking/prostitution, sex trafficking in illicit massage parlors, truck stops, and agricultural sites, and gang controlled trafficking, and trafficking through the internet. The average age of victim entering sex trafficking is 12-14 years old.

Human Trafficking feeds on other issues in the community. It is the exploitation of vulnerability. However, we also have a growing number of people and groups that are standing up and seeking to create change. They are bringing awareness, seeking creative solutions, and getting to the roots of the issue in our community to address the problems that allow human trafficking to continue.

Rob Carter

Rob Carter serves as Director Of Ministries for JARON Ministries International and oversees over 20 ministries. He as ministered globally with JARON for over 26 years. JARON exists to equip leaders for more effective Christian ministry; and through those leaders reach the world for Christ.

Sex trafficking focus: One of the primary ministries of JARON is personal purity; God's design for sexuality as taught in scripture. The opposite and most nefarious abuse of said design is child sex slavery. Giving leaders tools to help them guard their own personal purity in heart, mind and body, and equip them to be part of setting the captives free is our calling.
